Participants can complete their 1 M or 5K event any time and any where between May 16th and May 24th.
There are several free apps out there but we recommend MapMyRun, which will provide a map with date, time, and distance. The Garmin Connect app, if you use a Garmin watch, can provide this information too!
In order to be eligible for awards, each participant must submit their results with pictures by May 25th. Proof of completion must be in the form of a picture of the participant and their eBib, participant's app showing the map, date, distance, and time of their virtual event.
Awards are for those participants that complete the 1 Mile RUN and the 5K RUN for all participants with a minimum donation of $20. Awards will be for the fastest Male and Female in each of the following age groups:
- 10 & Under
- 11 - 14
- 15 - 18
- 19 - 29
- 30 - 59
- 60 +
A GWI Spirit Award will also be given to the best dressed male and female. We would love to receive plenty of photos from your virtual event!
All photos can be submitted with your results submission to greenwhalesinc@gmail.com. Please used the subject "GWI Virtual Run - eBib #" where # is the participant's eBib number. Please send one email per participant.
Awards will be announced on social media and our website by May 26th.
Awards and Commemorative T-Shirts will be available for pick-up at the Brigantine Aquatic Center on June 4th, 5th, and 6th between 10 AM and 12 PM OR 5 PM and 6 PM.
